If you have young children, you know you have to constantly remind them to "look both ways" before crossing a street.  After all, it's a basic habit that we all need to learn to stay safe. 

There is a similar phenomenon in trading if you want to stay safe.  In this brief video, I look at a couple examples (one from the emini S&P and one from crude oil) to explain the following concepts:
